I am proud to announce that my team is officially in the top ten of Singapore, Under17 category. :)

Our lots are out. The teams that we'll be facing in round two are, tagawa( last year's first runner up), Tongwhye team 1 ( last year's champions ) , Minyi Youth and team X. This round is very difficult as the drawings are quite unfortunate. The teams that we'll be facing are really strong. Needless to say, I'll give in my all in every matches even though the odds are on us.

I will continue to train harder and improve myself.

Some photos from the previous matches.

Hard work pays off

During the matches against kent ridge and quan fong. It was a much easier game to play as my team had already experienced 2 matches as a team. This two teams were slightly weaker so we didnt really experience much difficulty defeating them

Hard work pays off

During the match against Qian Xi, my team was losing by a few points throughout the whole game. As the points difference were very small, it was a really intensed game. As the points margin did not differ by more than 10 at a point of time.

Because of our desperate desire to win, We gave our all during the last quarter. I'm proud to say that we won them by 5 points. We only managed to catch back our points during the last 3 minutes of the game. I dare say that i had really put in a lot of effort. After the game, both my thighs suffered a terrible cramp. A cramp so pain that i was screaming loudly. However, I am glad that the cramps indicated that i had really played to my limits.

Hard work pays off

What i feel about the loss to tong whye is solely because my team have a lack of experience. Also, that was our first match as a team. We were not ready. Tong whye have been a team for a really long time and have gone through much more. This loss is acceptable. I'm glad that we only lost to them by a few times.

Personal- I had a foul trouble during the game. During the first quarter, i had a total of 3 fouls already. Thus, i did not play during the second quarter. Causing the team to lose more points during that quarter. During the last quarter, my team was down by about 20 points. We did a full court press to chase back the points. Glad that we lost by a few points only.

Minyi- Tongwhye, lost.

Proceeding to the second round! :)

Hard work pays off

I went to run a few times to improve my stamina. To increase my jumping ability and speed, i wore on ankle weights. Each weighing 2.2kg per leg. I ran a distance of 2.4km. The timing were 12mins at first and then it improved to 11mins for the other times. I feel that this timing is rather acceptable as running with the weights is quite energy draining.

I also did push ups, sit ups, squats, pull ups on my own. Push ups and pull upsto improve my arm strenght so that i will have a better accuracy. Sit ups and squats to improve my jumping ability.
